The Deeper Still was recorded over ten days at The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado, with producer and engineer Andrew Berlin. From the outset, I wanted the record to feel organic, intimate, and honest. Every song except the opening track was recorded without a click track, allowing the performances to breathe naturally and follow their own subtle push and pull.

The musicians brought remarkable sensitivity and restraint to these songs. Rather than filling every space, they trusted the dynamics, the silence, and the feel of the music. We weren’t chasing perfection—we were trying to capture performances that felt alive.
Many of these songs were written over the course of several years and shaped by time spent both at home and exploring farther afield. They reflect a growing appreciation for simplicity, presence, and the people and places that continue to leave their mark on me.
